“I’m fascinated by time — how it changes what we leave behind, how it softens, erodes, or transforms.”
— Kris Eggleston

🖌️ About the Artist

Kris Eggleston is a multifaceted artist who has been creating evocative work for over three decades. With a rich portfolio spanning watercolour, acrylic, Brusho, pen and ink, and mixed media, Kris explores both natural beauty and the quiet decay of forgotten places. Her early work focused on subjects reclaimed by nature — rusted metal, mossy brickwork, and weather-worn textures — capturing the poetry of aging.

Over time, Kris embraced more abstract forms and loose, expressive compositions. Her Studio 26 gallery in Sutton-in-Ashfield is both a working studio and a creative community hub, where she hosts exhibitions, teaches workshops, and mentors emerging artists. Whether crafting a vibrant floral piece or a quiet watercolour, Kris’s art is always alive with curiosity and feeling.

🖼️ Featured Work

🧠 Artist’s Statement

“Nature is both my subject and my collaborator. I love the contrast between control and unpredictability — especially in watercolour. Every piece is an experiment in balance, emotion, and letting go.”
